Deborah Hoch is a private practice speech language pathologist who provides speech and language services to children and adults throughout Long Island, N.Y. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of toddlers, preschool children, school-aged children, teens, young adults and adults with communication delays and disorders as well as individuals interested in foreign accent reduction.
Deborah has earned a stellar reputation for many years of service working with clients and their families, school directors and personnel, teachers, medical professionals and physical and occupational therapists. Her goal is to work closely and personally with each client and to collaborate with his/her family and other professionals whenever possible to develop an individual and effective treatment program that is sensitive to her client’s needs, background, interests and learning style.
Deborah’s therapeutic approach is warm, fun, loving and positive, always emphasizing one’s strengths and striving to help each client to reach his/her potential. She utilizes a multi-modality approach to therapy that incorporates a wide range of philosophies and therapeutic techniques, depending upon what works best for each client. Deborah is experienced in dealing with behavioral challenges and often incorporates these as goals within the therapeutic context.
Deborah Hoch, M.A., CCC-SLP has over 25 years of experience as a New York State licensed, ASHA certified speech language pathologist. Deborah received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University in May of 1981, graduating Magna Cum Laude with majors in Psychology and Elementary Education. Deborah received her Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from New York University in February of 1984.
